After word emerged on Saturday night that the Mets and Mariners had agreed in principle to a trade sending second baseman Robinson Cano and closer Edwin Diaz to New York, all players involved passed medical reviews, effectively completing the deal, sources told MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal on Monday afternoon. The clubs have not confirmed the completion of the deal, which was first reported by Yahoo! Sports’ Jeff Passan.
